An EPA document issued last month that provides advice on conducting observational studies of exposure to chemicals is being rebuked by an advocacy group for not being strong enough, but industry supports the strategies recommended by the agency. EPA said the document, entitled Scientific and Ethical Approaches for Observational Exposure Studies, is not a guidance but it may serve as a resource for researchers to help them plan and carry out observational exposure studies.
