USDA's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service has deregulated Bayer CropScience's cotton event GHB614, also known as GlyTol?, which has been genetically engineered to be resistant to glyphosate."The cotton and its progeny can now be moved freely and planted without the requirement of permits or other regulatory oversight by APHIS," the agency said in a statement.
