摘要

Little Hocking Water Association has sued DuPont, alleging the company's Washington Works plant, in Wood County, WVa., continues to improperly handle and release perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and other PFCs, resulting in high level contamination of the water provider's distribution system. DuPont has used PFOA at the plant since at least 1951, according to the suit, which was filed Nov. 27 in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Ohio. DuPont's discharge of PFCs into the Ohio River has led to the contamination of the southern Ohio non-profit public water provider's production wells, and therefore the blood of its water users, the suit charges.
