EPA will award up to $900,000 in funding in fiscal 2010 for public-private partnerships that focus on pesticide risk management particularly integrated pest management (IPM) approaches, die agency recently announced. EPA announced the funding opportunity — Pesticide Registration Improvement Renewal Act Partnership Grants (EPA-OPP-10-002) — March 5. Initial proposals are due to the agency on or before April 19. According to the announcement, $500,000 of the total funds available are authorized by the Pesticide Registration Improvement Renewal Act (PRiA 2), while the remainder will come from the EPA Office of Science Advisors Science and Technology appropriations.
