Studies on the seasonal prevalence of cabbage aphid, Lipaphis erysimi (Kaltenbach) in relation to weather parameters were conducted during dry season (rabi) at Agricultural college farm Bapatla. Seasonal fluctuations of pest population indicated thatJanuary and February months are favourable for the multiplication of major insect pests of Cabbage. The highest population of cabbage aphid was observed during the second week of February while the minimum population during last week of March. Minimum temperature exerted significant negative affect while the morning and evening relative humidities showed significantly positive relationship with aphid population. Flufenouron 10 EC at 0.01% proved its efficacy by reducing the population of cabbage aphid by 78.97 per cent over control and was on par with all other insecticidal treatments viz., Neem oil mixed with endosulfan, profenofos, acephate, neem oil, biobit and endosulfan.
