Aker Kvaerner said it has received a contract from PetroChina's China Petroleum Material & Equipment Corp.for a new polypropylene (PP) plant at the PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical Co.complex in China's Guangxi Province (PCN,30 Oct 06,p 1).The 200,000-t/y PP project will use Dow Chemical's Unipol technology and is scheduled to begin production in 2008.
