Montreal-Alcar Chemicals Group Chief Executive Alexander P.Cavasin has signed a letter of intent to sell a 55% interest in the company to an unidentified South East Asian consortium.The consortium has offered to acquire the holding for a price of 2.05/share,representing a total investment of 282-million.Alcar said it"expects a definitive agreement shortly."
