Jubail-Saudi kayan Petrochemical Co.has signed agreements with Simon Carves and Samsung Engineering for construction of low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and polypropylene (PP) plants being built as part of a 10-billion petrochemical complex at Jubail,Saudi Arabia (PCN,4 Dec 06,p 2).Simon Carves will be responsible for construction of the 300,000-t/y LDPE facility and Samsung for building the 350,000-t/y PP plant.Financial terms of the agreements were not disclosed.
