Moscow-JSC Kaustik, a Russian producer of suspension polyvinyl chloride (PVC) plans to expand its capacity with the use of Akzo Nobel's Continuous Initiator Dosing (CID) technology. Akzo Nobel said Kaustik's Sterlitamak, Russia, PVC capacity will be increased to 200,000 t/y "to follow the growth of the Russian PVC market." The expansion is scheduled to be completed during the second half of 2009. Current capacity was not given.
