Scotland. S.D.—Poet said it is now producing 20,000 gals/yr of cellulosic ethanol from corn cob at its research center in Scotland, South Dakota. The $8-million project is a precursor to a commercial-scale cellulosic ethanol plant, named Project Liberty, which will begin production in 2011.
