Leverkusen-Lanxess last week said it is taking additional steps to streamline its global production network with the sale of certain assets. The company disclosed that it has sold its remaining interest in its acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) joint venture to partner Ineos, "thus completely exiting the ABS business." The two companies set up Ineos ABS in 2007 as a joint venture through which Ineos took over operation of Lustran Polymers, Lanxess' ABS business (PCN, 8 Oct 07, p 1).
