Denver-ZeaChem Inc. said it has successfully produced ethanol at a capacity that can be scaled to commercial production and it will now demonstrate the integration of its biorefining processes at its 250,000-gal/yr Boardman, Oregon, biorefmery.ZeaChem noted its "innovative" use of off-the-shelf catalysts and standard equipment for the production of ethanol from ethyl acetate through hydrogenation.
