London-Ineos ChlorVinyls, the sole producer of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) in the UK, has announced plans to consolidate its UK production of PVC, adjusting output to declining market demand. As a result, the company will discontinue production at its Barry PVC plant in Wales and supply customers from its PVC facilities in Runcorn, Cheshire, and Newton Aycliffe. Capacity was not disclosed for any of the plants.
