Ningbo-Sinopec Zhen-hai Refining & Petrochemical Co. (ZRCC) has started up its new ethylene oxide/ethylene glycol (EO/EG) plant at Ningbo, China, using Dow Chemical Co.'s Meteor technology. Dow said the plant, which is the "first Meteor dual-reactor plant ever built," has the capacity to produce 650,000 t/y of EG and 100,000 t/y of EO.
