Salvador-Braskem said it expects to begin using naphtha made from post-consumption recycled plastic as another alternative feedstock source starting in 2013. Novaenergia, a company specializing in waste treatment, will supply the product from its first advanced recycling plant, which will be built in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. The plant, costing about R$25-million, is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2012.
