Manama-Gulf Petrochemical Industries Co. (GPIC) last week said it is cooperating with Technoment of Italy and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Co. of Japan to build a carbon dioxide (CO2) recycling facility. GPIC General Manager Abdul Rahman Jawahery noted that with this facility, his company will be the first petrochemical company to use a special system designed in Japan for the disposal of solid waste. The plant is scheduled to be completed in January 2010.
