Terneuzen-Dow Chemical started construction last week on a "major" capacity expansion of its polyols plant in Terneuzen, the Netherlands (PCN, 24 Sept 07, p 3). The project will expand capacity at the unit by 180,000 t/y and is "on track" to be completed by mid-2009, Dow said. Jacobs Engineering was earlier awarded the contract for the engineering needs of the project.
