Budapest-Slovnaft Petrochemicals, one of MOL's two petrochemical subsidiaries, plans to build a new 220,000-t/y low-density polyethylene plant in Bratislava, the Slovak Republic. Slovnaft Petrochemicals has selected LyondellBasell's Lu-potech T technology for the project, which is expected to come on stream in 2012. Just Jansz, president of LyondellBasell's technology business, noted this is the fourth polyolefins process technology his company has licensed to the MOL Group.
