Cambridge- Verenium Corp. said it has started the commissioning phase of its 1.4-million-gal/yr demonstration-scale cellulosic ethanol plant at Jennings, La. (PCN, 14 Apr 08, p 3). "This is a first for the U.S. and as we take the next step toward commercialization, we are breaking new ground and setting new standards for our industry," noted Carlos A. Riva, president and chief executive of Verenium.
