Heerlen-DSM has completed the selection of most of the businesses that do not fit with its accelerated shift towards life and materials sciences and has now started the divestment process for some activities (PCN, 1 Oct 07, p 1). DSM said it has "commenced in the form of a controlled auction process" the divestment of its agro, melamine, elastomers and urea licensing businesses. The divestments, part of the company's "Vision 2010" strategy, "are expected to be completed within the timeframe of Vision 2010, as planned."
