Prague-Czech synthetic resins producer Spolchemie said it has signed an agreement with Hexion Specialty Chemicals to acquire Hex-ion's specialty epoxy business. Terms were not disclosed. Under the agreement, Spolchemie's newly formed CHS Resins subsidiary will purchase Hexion's epoxy production facilities in Stuttgart and Duisburg, Germany, and manufacturing sites in Argo, 111., and Norco, La., as well as Hexion's U.S. Research Center in Houston, Texas.
