Vienna—Borealis announced it has reached an agreement for the sale of affiliate Agrolinz Melamine International's (AMI) business and operations in Castellanza, Italy, to Borgo Olona. AMI produces about 12,000 t/y of melamine resins and 3,000 t/y of additives at the Castellanza site, Borealis said. In 2007, the company said it had shut down its melamine production in Castellanza to "enhance the group's profitability" (PCN, 12 Mar 07, p 4). PCN could not determine the current status of the facility.
