Shuaiba-Equate Petrochemical Co. has completed and started up its polyethylene (PE) expansion project at Shuaiba, Kuwait, raising its overall high- and linear low-density PE production capacity to 825,000 t/y (PCN, 9 Feb 09, p 1). The PE expansion is one of several projects, identified as a single entity known as "Greater Equate." Equate is the sole operator of the entity, which groups projects of Equate, The Kuwait Olefins Co., The Kuwait Styrene Co. and Kuwait Par-axylene Production Co.
