Bangkok—PTT Aro-matics and Refining (PTTAR) is studying the feasibility of investing $l-billion (30-billion baht) in construction of a olefins cracker as part of its five-year investment plan. The project, explained Bowon Vongsinudom, would be part of the company's strategy to upgrade production into benzene feedstock for derivatives production. The cracker would produce both ethylene and propylene.
