Arnhem—AkzoNo-bel last week said it is selling its National Starch subsidiary to Corn Products International for $1.3-billion. The sale, subject to appropriate regulatory approvals, has been approved by the boards of both companies and is expected to close at the end of the third quarter of 2010.
