Motunui-Methanex has resumed production at its 900,000-t/y Motunui methanol plant in New Zealand, which was shut down in 2004, Reuters reported. Methanex earlier this year said it had reached an agreement on terms of a natural gas supply arrangement that would allow it to restart one of two idled methanol plants at Motunui and operate the facility "until at least the end of 2009" (PCN, 28 Apr 08, p 1).
