Kingsport-Eastman Chemical Co. announced further steps it plans to take to reduce costs by another $100-million this year, resulting in anticipated total savings of more than $200-million for 2009. In December, the company said it would reduce its 2009 costs by over $100-million, a majority of which would come from costs related to labor (PCN, 22-29 Dec 08, p 2).
