The Woodlands- Huntsman Corp. last week said it has suspended design and feasibility studies for a new 400,000-t/y diphenylmethane diis-ocyanate (MDI) plant to be built at its Rozenburg site in the Netherlands (PCN, 3 Mar 08, p 1). Huntsman's existing production capacity meets the current demand for MDI-based polyurethanes following the downturn in economical growth, the company noted.
