New Delhi-ONGC Petro-Additions Ltd. (Opal) has selected Ineos technology for polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) plants being built as part of an Rs 13,600 crore petrochemical complex in Dahej, India (PCN, 14 Dec 09, p 2). Ineos said it has licensed its Innovene PP process for a 340,000-t/y facility that will produce homopolymers, random and impact copolymers and its Innovene G process for two 360,000-t/y linear low- and high-density PE plants. The plants are expected to come on stream in December 2012.
