Decatur-Indorama Ventures last week said its AlphaPet subsidiary has started up a new 432,000-t/y polyethylene terephthalate (PET) resin plant in Decatur, Ala. (PCN, 16 Mar 09, p 4). The facility, located adjacent to BP's integrated paraxylene and purified terephthalic acid site, employs Uhde Inventa Fischer's state-of-the-art Melt-To-Resin technology.
