Ludwisshafen-BASF said it will mothball its polyalcohol trimethylolpropane (TMP) plant at Ludwigshafen, Germany, as part of a cooperation agreement with Fabbrica Adesivi Resine SpA (FA.R.). BASF and FA.R. have agreed to cooperate in the production, marketing and sale of TMP. Under the agreement, expected to take effect this July, F.A.R. will produce TMP for both companies at its Vercelli, Italy, site, while BASF will have sole responsibility for marketing and sales of TMP.
