Jubail-Saudi Basil Industries Corp.'s (Sabic) Arabian Petrochemical Co. (Petro kemya) subsidiary is proceeding with previously announce* plans for a new 200,000-t/y acrylonitrile butadiene styren (ABS) plant in Jubail, Saudi Arabia (PCN, 1 Jan 07, p 4). The Shaw Group said it has received a contract to provid front end engineering design services, as well as procurement services for long lead equipment for the unit. Cost of the contract was not disclosed.
