Palo Alto-Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. has received its first shipment of Biolsoprene, a bio-based isoprene, from Danisco's Genencor Division (PCN, 22 Sept 08, p 4). Last September, the two companies agreed to jointly develop a bio-based alternative for petroleum-based isoprene, and we "are on schedule to meet both technological and commercial milestones within the agreement," Genencor noted.
