Budapest—BorsodChem, citing uncertain demand for toluene diisocyanates (TDI), said it is thinking about delaying an expansion of its TDI capacity at Kazincbarcika, Hungary (PCN, 4 Feb 08, p 4). A new TDI plant, currently under construction with a design capacity of 200,000 t/y, had been scheduled to begin production by July 2009. BorsodChem said it is considering a delay "until the visibility on the future development of the global TDI demand improves."
