Lagos-Nigeria's National Council on Privatization has approved plans to sell 10% of the government's remaining interest in Eleme Petrochemical Co. (EPCL), while retaining a 5% holding. In 2005, Indorama submitted the winning bid of $225-million for a 75% stake in government controlled Nigerian National Petroleum Corp.'s (NNPC) wholly-owned EPCL (PCN, 12 Dec 05, p 3). At the same time, a 10% equity holding was sold to NNPC for $30-million.
