Pasadena-Kuraray's Eval Co.of America (Evalca) said it has completed construction of its 24,000-t/y ethylene vinyl alcohol capacity expansion in Pasadena,Texas (PCN,16 Aug 04,p 3)."Considering the current extremely high energy and raw material costs,Evalca is commissioning 50% of the increased capacity,12,000 t/y,with commercial operations to fully on stream by the spring of 2007," the company noted.
