Paris—Solvin, a joint venture of Solvay and BASF, and Arkema have each agreed to buy back their minority interests in their VinylFos, Vinyl-Berre and Vinilis vinyls joint ventures in France and Spain. Effective 1 July 2010, Solvin will be the sole owner of Vinilis, which is based in Martorell, Spain, and has the capacity to produce vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) and 270,000 t/y of polyvinyl chloride. Solvin currently holds a 65% interest in Vinilis.
