London-Ineos ChlorVinyls (Kerling) has reached an agreement to acquire Tessenderlo Group's chlor-vinyls business and assets in Belgium, France and the Netherlands for ?110-million in cash, subject to regulatory approval.Ineos noted that Tessenderlo's assets are "strategically located in complementary markets to Kerling's existing businesses." Through this transaction, Kerling will acquire all of Tessenderlo's polyvinyl chloride (PVC), vinyl chloride monomer, caustic soda and caustic potash assets, and portions of Tessenderlo's organic chlorine derivatives (OCD) business.
