Omaha-Dow Chemical Co.,Union Pacific and Union Tank Car Co.have agreed to collaborate on the safe and secure rail transportation of chemicals.In meetings concluded last week,the three companies assembled a joint project team to"drive forward a process for the development of a next generation rail tank car for highly hazardous chemicals."The companies have also set up an advisory group of academic,industry and former regulatory leaders to help develop the design for the tank car.
