Hons Kong-Dow Epoxy,a unit of Dow Chemical Co.,said it intends to invest over 200-million during the next five years in manufacturing and research and development facilities in China.The company announced plans to build China's first liquid epoxy resins(LER)plant,with 100,000 t/y of capacity,at its existing site in Zhangjiagang.The"world-scale"LER unit will be based on state-of-the-art technology and is expected to start-up in 2009.
