We have explored a variation of Plateau's wire experiment, in which soap solution is continually added at the toy of a wire frame, resulting in the displacement, distortion and eventual. instability of the equilibrium configuration of soap films. In the case of a cubic frame, an eightfold vertex of Plateau;borders (corresponding to a twelvefold intersection of films) can be created in this way. We also observed the passage of a 'triple bubble' along a Plateau border when a single drop is introduced at the Plateau border junction. [References: 19]
