摘要

The formation of chain-like structures in systems of particles with anisotropic pair interaction potential, which is similar to the wake arising from ion focusing, is studied by numerical simulation using a Langevin molecular dynamics approach. We considered infinite and confined chain-like structures over a wide range of parameters, corresponding to the experimental conditions found in laboratory dusty plasmas. For the first time, a detailed analysis of the development of various instabilities in dust particle vertical chains has been undertaken.
