InGaP/AIGaInP laser diodes arecommercially available in the 635-690 nm range. Shorterwavelength operation is hampered by increased leakagecurrents. Meanwhile, the orange and yellow range hassome important applications in medicine [1, 2] and in opti-cal communication using plastic fibers. So far the yellowrange has been achieved by frequency doubling of infraredlaser diodes [3-5] or by frequency doubling of diode-pumped solid state lasers [6].
