摘要

An experimental study combining Raman spectra and transport measurements on single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWNTs) is reported. Two SWNT ropes are monitored by Raman spectroscope while applying constant current. The application of the current causes a reduction of G-band intensity in the Raman spectra of one of the devices while the other shows no effect. A model based on the self-heating of the nanotubes is proposed to explain the observed phenomenon. (C) 2008 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim
