摘要

We study quantum fluctuations in the localized regime of one-dimensional systems. We calculate the variable-range hopping conductance including fluctuations in the size of the states. Quantum effects increase the average resistance without qualitatively changing Mott's law and cannot be neglected for a proper interpretation of experimental results.
