Three new nanotechnology researchcentres are to be set up in France aspart of a ?70m government plan tohelp French companies in the sector.Researchers at the new centres, whichwill be located in Grenoble, Saclay(near Paris) and Toulouse, will be en-couraged to collaborate with industryto develop new nanotech-based prod-ucts. Dubbed NANO-INNOV, thenew plan includes ?46m for two newbuildings at Saclay, with the rest beingused to buy new equipment at thethree centres and to fund grant pro-posals from staff to the French Na-tional Research Agency (ANR).
