Part of the problem is that our roofs hereare at a shallow angle – about 19° above thehorizontal. I asked that the 30 glassvacuum tubes (said to cover 3 m2 in total)that make up my system be elevated to57°, as our latitude is 43.3° N and I wishedto increase their efficiency at low Sunangles during the winter. The installerrefused, but offered a bigger array tocompensate. Unfortunately, the increasein performance was minimal.
