摘要

We have studied the dynamics of phenylene rings in polysulfone with deuterated methyl groups (PSFd6) by means of neutron scattering in a wide energy window combining time-of-flight and backscattering experiments. Fast oscillations of increasing amplitude with temperature and pi-flips are identified for phenylene ring motion. These motions present a broad distribution of characteristic times extending over several orders of magnitude, and thus, contributing to different windows. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
