摘要

Negative capacitance has been observed for the first time in the glassy alloys of Ga_xTe_(100-x) in the audio frequency range (0.12-100 kHz). It has been explained in terms of RLC component, i.e., due to the inertial conductivity where Maxwellian dielectric relaxation time (#tau#_m) is less than average dielectric relaxation time (#tau#). Temperature dependence of DC conductivity on the bulk samples of these glassy alloys have also been reported in the temperature range (185-370 K) to understand the dielectric loss and conduction mechanism in these materials.
