摘要

The investigation of chiral spin fluctuations by polarized neutrons is discussed. It is shown to be feasible in external magnetic fields or in the presence of the Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction. The theoretical considerations are illustrated by several examples of relevant experiments in which new information was obtained which would be inaccessible to conventional magnetic scattering. Possible studies of spin chirality in different systems are briefly discussed. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
